Material: Typically made from hardened steel or high-speed steel; premium versions may be made from S2 steel or titanium-coated for durability.

Drive Type: Can be used with manual screwdrivers, power drills, or impact drivers.

Variants: Some Torx bits come in security Torx form, which includes a pin in the center of the screw head requiring a matching hollow in the bit (often marked as "TR" or "Tamper-Resistant").
